Research

My research explores how regenerative land management, sustainable forestry, and material innovation can reshape our relationship with the built environment. I’m particularly interested in timber, both as a construction material and as part of our natural landscapes; woodlands and forests connect ecology, economy, and culture.

My work brings together designers, foresters, craftspeople, and local communities to imagine circular models of woodland management and building systems. Through collaborative inquiry and practical experimentation, my research work aims to uncover ways that land use, design, and making can work together to support both ecology and local people.
