Connolly Wellingham

Founding directors Fergus Connolly and Charles Wellingham founded Bristol based practice. CWa have a strong design ethos, creating ambitious and thoughtful responses to conservation and retrofit projects. CWa seek heritage projects with potential for contemporary sustainable interventions. Whilst at CWa I spent significant time working on Bridgwater Town Hall, a Grade II listed theatre in Somerset and residential barn conversion in Wiltshire.

I joined CWa when Phases 1 and 2A were Stage 4, and Phases 2B and 3 were Stage 3. My role was to work alongside the director during Phase 2A Stages 4 and 5, whilst preparing the Phases 2B and 3 Stage 4 tender package. I managed a residential barn conversion alongside BTH and managed the Value Engineering process throughout, working with the quantity surveyor, client representative and planning officers.
