Bridgwater Town Hall

Whilst at Bristol based practice, Connolly Wellingham, I spent a significant time working on Bridgwater Town Hall, a Grade II listed theatre in Somerset. Connolly Wellingham have a strong design ethos, creating ambitious and thoughtful responses to conservation and retrofit projects. Bridgwater Town Hall was a perfect test bed for modern interventions within an historic building fabric, building my valuable experience in conservation by learning more about traditional craftsmanship and Listed Building Consents.

My role was to work alongside the director during the phased delivery of Phase 2A and 3. Primary responsibilities included coordinating information across the large design team (20+ consultants), participating in Design Team Meetings, working with the Mechanical Engineers to deliver a strong ventilation strategy, provide a full schedule and specification of over 100+ unique windows and door replacements within the listed building and provide technical details for construction.
